Tax invoice issued instead of bill of supply

We ordered an item taxable at 0% from our supplier.

As per Invoice rules, if only exempt or 0% items are supplied a Bill of Supply should be raised.

But my Supplier issued a Tax Invoice  instead of a Bill of Supply.

  1. Is this procedurally ok?
  2. Would it have any issue in any of the GST returns?

1. Yes. It's exactly Correct...

2. No more Issues under GST...

As per GST rule Regular dealer can sell exempted goods in Tax Invoice or Bill of Supply (Format)
