Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the tax implications of TDS under Section 194DA for life insurance policies, specifically a SBI Life Smart Money-back Gold policy. It addresses whether the received money-back amount, after TDS deduction, is taxable and how to calculate the taxable portion for the relevant financial year. The query highlights a specific scenario with premium payments and a money-back payout, seeking guidance on its tax treatment.

Rs. 201807 less Rs. 114553 = Rs. 87254 is taxable as Income from other sources for FY 1920.
