Notification 1/2011 CE prescribed 1% concessional rate of duty for coke products under CET 2704 without availment of Cenvat credit. However, if cenvat credit is availed, tariff rate of 5% was prescribed in Budget 2011. However, Relevant Notification 2/2011 CE does not notify 2704 and hence, I am unable to locate the relenvat tariff and non tariff notificatiosn applicable to the same. If anyone could help, thanks in anticipation,

Please refer amendment in Finance bill 2011 vide section 70 ' the amendment to First schedule to Tariff as per the manner specified in the Tenth Schedule of Finance Bill 2011. Refer sl. no 35 your CET 2704 is mentioned in Schedule as duty @ 5%.

Could you also refer the CETSH and rate of duty on gold bullion of purity 99% or above (The proper CETSH under CHapter 71 may kindly be referred for classifying the goods and checking latest rate of duty.

Full exemption from excise duty is being provided for gold coins of purity 99.5% and above and silver coins of purity 99.9% and above [S. No. 200 of notification No.12/2012-CE dated 17.03.12 refers].
