Dear All,
If a Proprietor applied for a TAN for a Proprietorship Company the TAN no should be in the name of Proprietor but now i want to know that when the Company issuing Form 16/16A then what name should be written in the pecribed format in the Name area in the Form
1) Name of the Proprietor Or
2) Name of the Proprietorship Company

THere is nothing called proprietorship company. Please clarify.
Did you meant Form 16/16A issued by a "Proprietorship" or a "Company" (like ABC Ltd or XYZ Pvt Ltd).
Either way, Form 16/16A will be issued in the name of deductor of TDS (as in TAN database).
