I am using Tally9 and i need everytime entry of payroll for each perosn. It's laborious work and i need suggestions to automate it.
Can any one tell me there is any possibility to import data from excel to tally and there is any freeware available like. Specially in the area of payroll (Tally9).

No Mr. Sekhar Dasari there's no possibility/facility till date available to import data in tally from excel.
Yes u can do so but first u havt to see that what version of Tally 9 u have install. this facility is not available in Relaease 1, u have to install release 2 or 3. Thereafter u can export any data in excel formate. Pls download Tally 9 release 2 Or 3 from the site.Hope your problem will be sort out

can you explain how to export from excel to tally.
If you have Tally 9 release 2 or 3. Tally 9 ralease 2 or 3 has a option to export file to Excel. when will u export it u will see there will q option to export file in excel. u will select it and export u will get it done.

Yes he can.
He can import data in to Tally and even can export data from Tally in to any other application or sheets.
But he need some special sodftware fro that and I am not able to provide any more information for that as I am in the search of the freeware application for the same.

If the users will switch over from Tally to Busywin (by Busy Infotech), they will get inbuilt free utility to import vouchers from Excel within Busy account software
This Busy people can also Import your Tally Data into BUSYWIN for free.
Busywin is much cheaper then Tally and there is no need to buy costly third party's addon( like for Tally), as most of the funcationality were found in BUSYWIN.

Dear Mr. P. Lingam,
Please find attached copy of fomat sheet of my salary statement. Here heads are the ledgars like basic,hra and medical allowance etc.,
When we are import this statement from EXCEL TO TALLY PAYROLL (i am using latest version of tally.erp) the amounts are automatically posted to the ledgers with no errors.
Please give me solution for this.
