Tally 7.2 not working in windows 7

I was also facing the same problem regarding Tally 7.2 and now i've stopped searching for the solution since i came across this blogpost from Microsoft which states that Tally 7.2 is incompatible with Windows 7 and hence shall not run on it. You can have a look at the same:

There is a simple wayout.I dont know the logic.But it has worked for me.I took out hard disc of old laptop with vista, put it in a casing and used like portable hard disc on usb port of new laptop with windows 8.In tally I changed the address of data folder from earlier D drive to new drive of new laptop.Now Tally program is on external drive and data folder on internal disc and it does work!

I think I have seen Tally 7.2 working on window 7 from harddisk somewhere.

 

So there must be a tweak or patch one should share.

I have found a wayout. I took out the hard disc of my old laptop working on windows old version where tally 7.2 was installed. I put it in a casing and attached to laptop via usb. It appears as external drive and the tally exe thereon uses data on my new laptop and it works!

Since last few days I am trying to install full version of Tally 7.2 in Windows 7 but everytime after installation it is not getting opened. Anybody any idea about reasons of the same.

I am using Tally 7.2 in Windows 7 for a long time. I had the same problem for a while. It is not a big issue at all. I have taken help from Windows tech support and they resolved it quickly. Thanks to them. You may contact them for proper help.
