To Import/ Export only a few Masters out of a large number, follow the steps given below:

 

1. Load both the Companies in the Gateway of Tally.
2. Select the Company from which you want to Export the Ledger Masters.
3. From Gateway of Tally go to Accounts Info > Ledger > Alter > select the Ledger Master (which you would like to export to other company)
4. In the Ledger Alteration screen, press F3:Company and select the other company to which you wish to import this Ledger Master.
5. Save the screen.
6. The Ledger Master which was Exported will now be Imported to another Company.

 

Like wise, you can select a Ledger Master individually and follow the above procedure to Export and Import the remaining Ledger Masters. 

Dear Rajeshji , Before Exporting and Importing pls confirm following things. 1.) All features (F11) are same in both the companies. ( Co. involved for Import-Export of Data) 2.) Both companies Accounting Data is for the same period. ( i.e. both the companies Year 1 & End year should be same. For eg if you have for 1 co. data for 7 yrs & another for 5 yrs then your Master's will not get Imported. For both the co. it should be 5 yrs or 7 yrs ) Now first you have to export your masters. Select the co. from which you want to export the data. Gateway of Tally --> Display --> List of Accounts --> Export Now for Export of Entries : (for eg Purchase Regs.) Gateway of Tally--> Display --> Accounts Book--> Purchase Regs. --> Select period -->Export (Export data in XML) Select the co in which you want to Import ur data : Gateway of Tally --> Import of Data --> Masters (give the path of Master file exported) Gateway of Tally --> Import of Data --> Vochers (give the path of Purchase regs file exported) I hope this will solve ur problem.
