I began my articleship some 2.5 months back & have not received my ID card & registration letter from ICAI yet. Now I want to take a transfer. Can I take it without the ID & registration letter? If yes, then after getting Form 109 signed in how much time I must join some other CA i.e. the signed form is valid for how much time? Please reply soon.

Firstly, you should write to the institute for the registration and id.. and then check out the period of articleship u need to serve before final and accordingly join some other CA.. and plz confirm the requirements with the institute...
I already called them & they said it will take at least a month for them to release my certificate & ID. What do I do now?

bhumika as per new regulation u cannot take transfer unless u have a genuine reason for it or ur parents hav shifted to new city or u are medically unfit to carry on at ur place
earlier there was no restriction on transfer
a student could take any number of transfers and at any point of time
but from 1st april all these have been restricted by teh effect of the new regulations issued by ICAI on 27th march

Temme If any1 started Its Articleship frm Feb09..I.e 3 months ago... Can He/she take Transfer frm CA on Backdated 22/03/09....And sumitted Form No.109 To Icai On 1.5.09......... Pls reply is this T/f is valid...
per new guidelines no transfer is allowed in the same city
further in the last year of articleship no transfer is allowed
can we go for industrial training in the last year under the new guidelines??
