During the ICAI Campus interviews conducted in September 2009 , Syndicate bank came for CA recruitment. They offered Scale 2 post, 30K take home, accomodation etc..
When we actually gone for joing the bank on last week, it seems they are cheating
They given only Scale 1
Take home 20K
2 year bond
2 year probation
Changed place of posting
they selected 90 CA only 35 Joined
Its very harsh that a PSU bank will do that,ICAI should look into the matter, but they are just busy in filling thir pocket
Banking is the worst career option for a highly qualified professional. Even 30K take home seems lower then the minimum wages for a fresher. The working hours and the responsibilites are very high, while the leaves are non existant. You get stuck to this sector only and can never move to industry, consulting or any other sector. As you beome senior, you are burdened with marketing and collection targets.
Even i was one of those interviewed them in Bangalore. But after looking at salary and 2 yrs bond, i didnt go for it.
