Can anyboby guide me as to the procedure for surrendering COP? I am holding a full time COP, I will be joining the ijdustry as full time employee. How do I get my COP converted to part time COP?

The member desirous of surrendering his certificate of practice should make a request in writing indicating the date from which he wishes to surrender COP. The original scriptt for certificate of practice should be surrendered for cancellation The COP fee however will have to be paid for the relevant financial year before it is cancelled at his request. However no fee would be required to be paid if he wishes to surrender his COP w.e.f. 1st April provided he makes the request with the original COP by 30th April of that year.
Instead of surrendering, you can make a request letter for converting your Full Time COP to Part time by making an application in writing with ICAI.
@ Rahul.. in case we convert full time cop into part time(because i am taking full time employment in ca firm) whether i will be eligible for FCA after 5 year?
