Can i get some suggesstion please?  since i m from commerce background, i find tough in reading quantitative aptitude for CPT exam.  Can anyone please helpme, like which is the best way to read easily and what to do for learning  quantitative aptitude. I willing to take CPT exam in june. So if you guide me, it will be really helpful for me.

And also one more doubt, if i am not able to clear all the exams on the same day in cpt exam, can we take that subject seperately.

Thanks

If u take coaching..U' ll learn how to study..!!

And If U not taking coaching...It's better to go through ICAI study material and practice all problems..!!

For Practice more problems see through the Plus two or Intermediate books..!!

One thing to say that is: Don't think that Maths as a Alien subject to Commerce students...!!!

In fact Maths is nothing but combination of Addition,Subtraction, multiplication and Divisions..!!

Commerce students have to use their skills in solving Accountancy problems where as Maths has predetermined formulae which V have to memorize and apply them in solving problems..

So, Maths is far easy than Accounts..!!

So, Rock It..!!!

And for 2nd questn is bit confusing...

R u talking about taking coaching fr separate subjects ?

Or else R u talking abt writing exam separately...

Plz mention..!!!

agree with IMRAN

hi AN.....I          IT IS BETTER TO STUDY BITS IN ICAI BOOK AND REVISIED BOOKS SENT BY INSTITUTE.................BE COOL YAAR CPT IS VERY DEADLY EASY EXAM CONDUCTED BY ICAI.......................MY ONE MORE SUGGESTION IS DO ANY DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSE.....................

ya as above said go to study material , but if u have any problem then use other reference book (if u wanna self study )

otherwise  take classes for this

and dont be afraid ... this exam is easy ..main thing is that what u have done . should be completely done nothing have been left from that part that u have done

and i strongly suggest  u should do all course at once may be it is tough but when u do it again or revise it again then u will find it much easier ....... practice make a man perfect.......

and 2nd question ....  u have to clear all the exams at one sit u can't do it seprately

regards

jyotsna

Firstly if you are good in other subjects then practice them thoroughly so that you are able to score atlest 100 out of 150 marks....

Secondly, practice CA SCANNER for CPT as it is very helpful

Thirdly you can practice from AADHYA's CPT QUESTION BANK as it has plenty of good questions and quite helpful summery

Thanks for the suggesstion and ideas for all of them.

I didnt understood the concept of CA scanner. May I know what is this?

And where can i get the Aadya's cpt question bank, i searched it in online, but its not available.

If i read the study material, is that enough to write the exam.

What is the pass percentage for CPT, and how much i should get minimum in each subjects?

Thanks

Scanner is some what like Bit Bank...

And from June 2011 onwards CPT pass criteria changed..

You should get atleast 30% in each subject

and 50% aggregate in overall subjects..

i.e.

Accnts: 18 marks

Law: 12 mrks

Economics: 15 mrks

MAths and Stats: 15 marks

But aggregate total shld be 100 out of 200

And follow the suggestion of Kash...

You cannot imagine how helpful these answers for me. Thanks a lot for all you. I will follow these suggestions .
