a guy called samvit created an online petition for students who passed out from pe2 in november 07 or who will be clearing pe2 in may 08, for these two batches ONLY ,the training period was 2.5 years before they could sit for their final exam, and for everyone else before nov 07 it was two years....seems unfair right?...we had to wait an extra six months before our final attempt in comparisons to may 07 batch?....well that has changed...samvit sent a letter to icai requesting them to alter this law and they in turn told him to file a pertiton with icai, he did and got nearly 200 signatures (people just had to write their name and registeration number online, under the petition)....AND HE GOT A REPLY THAT HE HAS WON... the icai passed the ruling that nov 07 and may 08 pe 2 passouts can now appear in their final exam after two years of articleship...thats may 2010 for nov 07 batch and nov 2010 for may 08 pe2 batch.... if u r effected by this then please thank the guy who went through all this trouble to help all of us out.... also i'm really inspired by this...every single one of us can make a difference... dream big.

Hi Amit, Plz let me know ...what about those who have cleared PE 2 in May 2007 and got registered in CA Final New Course, I asked CA institute, they said during last 6 months of articleship under new course.

Dear Samvit ,

I really don't know how to thank you.We all kept on talking that it's unfair on us but you ave done what was actually needed from all of us.

It is really very important for me to passout C.A ASAP as my family is in financial crisis & you have saved my precious 6mths which i never imagined of.

I pray for your , mine & all those 200 respected students success in our C.A.FINAL Exam.

Dear Amit,

Though its a gr8 news for all those who have cleared their PE2 Exams in Nov 2007, but this news can be considered genuine & aythentic only when a particular Notification or circular or announcement is posted on ICAI's website.

I apprecaite your efforts for this step. Even i m one of them.
