May I know, that, what is previous weightage for each subbject in CPT exam and after amendments what is the present weightage of each subject.And also once a C.A. aspirant got registered with ICAI for CPT exam, how many times he can appear to the CPT Exam with the First registration.Awaiting Reply

hie...m not sure abt the amendment...but previously it was -
Accounts 60
Economics 50
Business law 40
Quantitative Aptitude-Maths and Statistics 50
Weightage for each subject will also be the same after the new amendment, but 30% will be required in each section i.e., 30% each in Accounts, Law , Economics & Math. Plus also the aggregate of 50% i.e., 100 out of 200, will also be required
The weightage are as follows :-
Accounts - 60, Law - 40.
Economics - 50, Math - 50
Total 60+40+50+50= 200.
With First Registration the CA aspirant has to clear the CPT Exam within a Period of 3 Years. And in this period the student is allowed to take 2 exams within a period of six months i.e. 1 Online Exam and 1 Paper Pencil
Likewise ICAI is continously organising the Online Exams around 6 times a year and 2 Paper Pencil Exams a year i.e in June and December. Student is allowed to take exam 1 Online and 1 Paper Pencil mode within a period of 6 months.
The weightage are as follows:-
Accounts 60
Economics 50
Business law 40
Quantitative Aptitude-Maths and Statistics 50
