Is it mandatory to take registration by the main contractor in the state of kerala in the following situation.?
Govt. of kerala allots road maintenance contract to Mr. X of Maharashtra. Mr. X subcontacted the entire work to Mr.Y of kerala. Mr. X has no fixed establishments in kerala.

No , no need . billing can be done on igdt

According to my knowledge, place of supply is kerala as the service is in relation to immovable property. and the supplier of service Mr.Y also in kerala then how can the subcontractor IGST invoice to Mr.X

Sir ideally no , Act not mandate Mr. X to take registration in kerala
But if mr x wants input on his inward supply then he has registered in kerala
But if mr x wants input on his inward supply then he has registered in kerala
