Blue Chip is a large cap conservative fund with a  good track record. At times Midcap stocks in the market may perform better than the large cap. Some other time large cap performs better.

So whenever midcaps perform better this fund may look like an under performer but in the long term this fund performs.

Instead of Investing in a fund which is just chasing returns you need to choose funds which are sticking to its convictions. You can continue to invest in this fund.
