Steps for termination of articles?

DOWNLOAD FORM 109 FROM WWW.ICAI.ORG, FILL IT UP AND SEND IT TO ICAI..........AND ARTICLESHIP IS TERMINATED...................U WILL RECEIVE TERMINATION LETTER AFTER SOME TIME OF FILING THE FORM.

this is the new rule for termination of articleship...!

1. write a letter requesting termination of articleship stating reasons thereof

2. get a letter signed by the principal on firm's letterhead recommending the same.

3. submit both the letters with the institute.

4. the institue will reply after 1 or 1.5 months

5. if ur termination is approved u can collect form - 109 from the institute, get it signed from ur principal & submit it...!

in the icai website only the valid reasons for transfer is given...!

i came to know abt these  steps from a frnd who is taking transfer...!

Please help me out in knowing the procedure for termination of article ship ,as i will be completing my term in the month of february' 2011, and my principal is restricting me to write my final exams .... i am helpless

Is this procedure applicable in case of Secondment also?
