Stcl can be set off against exempt ltcg
There is an LTCG which is exempt u/s 10(38). I need to know that can i against STCL against exempt LTCG???

question is why do you want to adjust exempt capital gain againtst stcl ? . you want to adjust loss against non-taxable income. why ? it is better to c/f and adjust in the future against stcg and ltcg which is taxable.
what is the logic, why do you want to do that? Is CFL an issue?
There is no point in setting-off losses with exempt income. Just carry forward the short term loss for set off in future years.
