Statutory audit
Sir Please guide me as to how to proceed with Professional Tax,ESI and PF while doing Statutory Audit of a Private Ltd Company...What should I check and what steps should be followed while dealing with these 3 items...I will be very grateful for your valuable input....

Whether the company has firstly been passing correct journal entries. Appropriate deductions made from the salary of the employees and amount is statutorily remitted to the concerned authorities within the due date. Provision entries made at year end. Going thru the specific enactment will enrich your knowledge as to what is the objective of each act and their compliance there of.
