Stamp vending service

Dear All

One of my friend providing property registration service and making stamp duty, registration charges and related payment from his account , so whether he need to register under gst ?? As non judisiary stamp is not attract GST.

Yes he needs to register under GST because as per explanation available, threshold turnover of GST registration include all turnover from all the service/goods supplied either attracted GST or not attracted.

but one point you need to note , you only need to charge GST only on service registered under GST i.e.registration charge. stamp duty will remain non taxable. same treatment you have to avail while filling gstr 3b.
