No, in my opinion there is no need to file the acknowledgement generated on e filing of Service Tax Return. If you refer step by step procedure of e filing of return in FAQ section, there is no specific requirement of filing Acknowledgement. If there is any such requirement the same would have appeared on the face of the acknowledgement as in case of Acknowledgement of ST -1.
