our client has a manufacturing unit(SSI) having a turnover of 1.35 crore during last year,It is not registered in Central Excise till date. I want to know the format of declaration to be made to Excise authorities & the periodicity & form of return to be made ,if any, to the Dept. Whether on submission of declaration the Dept. will give any regd. no.

There is no need to file any return.
In this financial year, when your turnover exceeds 90 lakhs, you are required to file a declaration. the format you can get on the CBEC web site- www.cbec.gov.in
