if it is a tally rewrit thecompany by presing alt-r and then try for spliting.

If aforesaid does not work than audit all ledgers as well as all vouchers and try again

Find the name and create the same ledger and try to split the company again. Please make sure u have the data back up before splitting. Best wishes.
