Quick Summary
A trader issued a GST invoice for goods outside their usual trade. This discussion explores whether any action can be taken against the seller under GST law. It suggests that amending the GST application to include the relevant HSN code is a straightforward solution. The consensus is that selling assets like plant and machinery, which are not part of a business's regular trade, is permissible and doesn't pose an issue.

For safer side he can make the amendments in GST application by adding HSN code of such goods sold...
There is no issue. Many times business sell their plant & machinery. Obviously they don't deal in such p&m as goods. So there is no issue
