Hi Experts,
A Employer is providing Sodexo petrol coupon to its employees. Is this not taxable in the hands of employees.
As per Income tax rules only Sodexo meal coupons are exempted from tax to the extent of Rs.100/- per day Maximum of Rs.2,200/- Per month.
My question is that Sodexo coupon is exempted under income tax under which section. Please provide experts opinion on this from the point of Income Tax department.
