sir
my friend want to start the small road side business like book store, dairy supply, stationary shop, it's yearly turnover will not more that 5 lakh PA,
please suggest what are the registration required so that sale tax department and income tax department will not harsh in future.

Foremost thing required is place of doing any business, on PAPER.
Ownership or rental or right to use, but authentic place, so that other things like PAN, license etc can follow.

After rent agreement, go for Gumasta licence (registration under shops & establishment act), and open Bank account in the name of the shop. (foremost to start)
