m in last year of my training n wan 2 kno whether industrial training wud be beneficial 4 me or not?

I hv few queries in my mind

1. whether industrial training wub be more beneficial or shall I stick 2 my old firm till I complete my training period?

2. whether applying for industrial training is better than applying in 1 of da big 4?

3. whether industrial training is better den da audits of the medioker firms?

4. wht r the BIG companies which provides such training? (I already hv da list of accredited companies provided by the institute)

5. wht kind of stipend is paid there? is it the same specified by the institute?

6. nother query is: I hv heard dat, if 1 goes for industrial training, den that person is not able to shift his area of interest to any other field later on. is that so???

7. finally: if 1 gets n oppurtunity 2 choose his area of interest in the industrial training, which field sud he opt 4.
internal assurance, direct tax, indirect tax, tax audits, etc.
(I hv heard, if 1 chooses tax audit field, he gets da same exposure as he does in a CA firm)

If ny1 cn answer deze, wud be a great help 4 me.

Hi Varun, here are my views on your points,

1) if you have topped out your learning curve at your existing firm, then there is no point staying any further, but do consider the hassles of shifting!!

2)You have to consider the place of industrial traing too, which company are u comparing with the Big4?? provided you have the same priviledge for both, i would personally prefer the BIg4. On the other hand, i know a person who chose Sharekhan over Delloittes, so you see it is a very personal decision.

3) the answer is same as in point 1) , if there is nothing to learn here, then ANY place is better than the present place..

4) i am not aware of the opportunitites available.

5) i am not very sure, but the stipend is very much higher than that specified. please check with the companies taht you apply

6)Totally absurd!!!! NEVER heard of such thing!!

7) this purely depends on YOUR INTERESTS!!!!! the only person who can tell you this is you!!!

Hi.. had read ur querys. As, i m in PCC. As, i m sugesting u to do training in industry so that we can be aware mre abt practical things, which we r actly learned or studyng. And, b'cz of it we can cme touch to of mny peoples, due to it v can make our client too. Beynd this d best thing is do vt actly u want n frm it u vl get experience. Dnt, depend on any one it actly creats confusion. Hope u vl got. Sry... Actly i sugest u such snse bt v r quite mature n have ability and knowlege of ech things... so... then depend on u..
