Dispute is there on deduction of
service tax whether it is 4.94%(40% of 12.36%)
or 12.36% (100% of 12.36%)
There were no construction activities.
Happened during 1994.
Which one is correct?

Hi, you still did not get the answer. I read that section and it’s pretty bizarre to understand. Better to contact an accountant because there are exemptions and rates have changes and new laws applicable when I read it. It also took me to CENVAT. All the best
