The President of India has appointed Shri Shashi Kant Sharma, IAS, as the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, in terms of Article 148 (1) of the Constitution of India on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10:17am. He will be taking over the charge of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India from 23rd May, 2013
Dear friends,
I dont udnerstand , why A chartered accountant should not be appointed as CAG. Why always they are appointing the IAS. Institute should work on this very strongly.
And again In Income tax , sales tax, service tax etc., why not the Government should not prefer the CA's for these post. Chartered accountant who are expert in this field but Government take the people from IRS who have the back groung from MBBS, or engineering or not known . But I challange CA' are 100% better tha them. After taking the candidates from IRS they will be given training in Taxes by Chartered accountant.
This is really a stupid thing in the government policy.
