Shares transfer in case of death

Others 397 views 1 replies

Mr. X is the Grandson of Mr. Z and Mr Y is the son of Mr. Z. Mr. Z and Mr. Y are no more. Whereas shares are still in the name of Mr. Z. And now Mr. X wants to transfer the shares to his own name, but some of the share certificates are missing.

What is the procedure to transfer the shares to Mr. X's name?

What all documents will be required in the above case?

Hi Devendra,

Application in this behalf is required to be made to the Company. Normal process of transmission will take place. Affidavits, Indemnity Bonds, Succession Certificate,Advertisement in newspaper etc may be required as per Companies internal rules or Articles. Mr X needs to contact the Company for the same as some requirements may vary company to company.

Thanks & Regards
