Shareholding pattern - from pas-3 filed after mgt-7

I want to confirm as to how can I get the latest shareholding pattern of a private company from the MCA website when an allotment form (PAS-3) has been filed after the latest annual return available (MGT-7).

My query is that the shareholding pattern attached to MGT-7 does not reflect the subsequent allotment made in the PAS-3 form. Now how can I calculate the NEW SHAREHOLDING PATTERN considering the allotment form only gives the securities allotted to the allottees but does not give the new shareholding pattern itself.

you have a valid observation. in case of unlisted companies, there is no way of determining change in shareholding pattern between two annual returns. via PAS.3 we get to know new shareholders names, but not category. however, if the allotment is on private placement basis, then the attachments of accompanying forms gnl.2 & mgt.14 will give details of category of new investor.
further in case of specified companies, change in promoter holding beyond a certain threshold is to be intimated to MCA.

Thank you, sir, for your detailed observation. Please excuse my ignorance, but I do not have any background in law or finance. If the annual return provides the following shareholding pattern

S. No Investor Name Share Type
1 Ram 10 Equity
2 Shyam 17 Equity
3 Ghanshyam 23 Preference
4 Ajit 45 Preference

Now if  PAS-3 provides the following information with regard to allotment:-

S. No Investor Name Share Type
1 Ram 12 Equity
2 John 15 Equity
3 Ghanshyam 18 Preference
4 Mac 22 Preference

Can the shareholding pattern be calculated now? If yes, can you please explain how?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

ram (10+12) 22 equity
shyam (17+0) 17 equity
John (0+15) 15 equity
ganshy (23+18) 41 preference
Ajit (45+0) 45 preference
Mac (0+22) 22 preference

this will be the shareholding pattern as on allotment date

Thank you so much Sir. You have been most kind.

my pleasure
