Shared capital for a pvt ltd

Hi everyone

I would like to know is it mandatory that you must have minimum shared capital of 1Lakh to incorporate a pvt ltd company?

What if the company requires no initial investment?

Thanks in advance!

Yest it is a mandatory requirement, irrespective of companies need. Just read below

As per Section 3(1)(iii) of the Companies Act, 1956, 'private company" means a company which has a minimum paid-up capital of one lakh rupees or such higher paid-up capital as may be prescribed.

Totally agree with learned member Parashar !!!

Minimum one lac capital, 2 directors, 2 shareholders are required to form a private limited company.
