and allot the same folio No. to Mr. Ram?

pls clarify your question surbhi m not getting it.

The company has to issue two share certificate only if the shares are of different classes(Both are off free of cost, only if shares are off different class). However, if the shares belong to same class and the shareholder is in want of two share certificate, the company shall collect the charges for one share certificate as the director may decide and the other shall be off free of cost.

yes a Company can issue two Certificates on the request of the Shareholder.

Folio Number will be same in both the certificate.

As far as Distinctive number is concerned it will be different in the Certicate. For eg. if 5000 Shares is to be  divided into two Certificates of 2000 shares and 3000 Shares. the Distinctive Number will be 01-2999 and 3000-4999 respectively

if your Certificate no let say 1 then split it into 1A and 1B

Thaks Friends for the reply..............

Charu One more thing is that i allot the different certificate no.

as 1 to the 0001 to 4999 &

2 to 5000 to 5000.

Hope there is no problem in that.

Dear Surbhi..

I would like to make correction in my statement regarding Distinctive number

As far as Distinctive number is concerned it will be different in the Certicate. For eg. if 5000 Shares is to be  divided into two Certificates of 2000 shares and 3000 Shares. the Distinctive Number will be 01-3000 and 3001-5000 respectively.

In ur case the distinctive number will be:-

as 1 to the 0001 - 4998 &

2 to 4999 - 5000.

Dear Charu,

We are  alloting seprate share certificate only for the one share so the distinctive no will be 5000  to 5000 otherwise if we alloted share certificate with the distinctive no 4999 to 5000 it will include two share.

so, i have no doubt in this concern.

Alloting 5000-5000 distinctive number represents Nil shares

and Distinctive number 4999-5000 represents one share not two.

yes 2 share certificates can be used and the distinctive number for 1 share would be 5000 only...

Alloting 5000-5000 distinctive number just means distinctive number 5000 which represents one share

Distinctive number 4999-5000 represents two shares not one (Distinctive no 4999 and Distinctive no 5000)

Surbhi you are right alloting Distinctive  No. 4999-5000 will represent 2 shares and allotment of Distinctive  5000-5000 means allotment of 1 shares.

But in Normal practice i have not encountered any situation where distinctive number is 5000-5000..

will get back to you

Thanks Shyam  Kamal  & Ankur..........

Yup Surbhi...

After having dicussed with my fellow members...i came to conclusion the distinctive number of 1 share will be 5000

Thankyou Charu....
