Share certificate class of shares

855 views 1 replies

A private limited is incorporated with Rs. 5,00,000 authorised share capital.

divided into 2,50,000 class A shares of Rs.1/- each and 2,50,000 class B shares or Re. 1/- each. The difference is that class A shares have 1:1 voting rights and class B has 1:10 voting rights.

While issuing the share certificates. Should it be mentioned somewhere what class of shares are being issued?

regards

Ravi

Companies (Issue of Share Certificates) Rules, 1960

5. Form of the Certificate

(1) Every certificate shall specify the name(s) of the person(s) in whose favor the certificate is issued, the shares to which it relates and the amount paid-up thereon.

Going by the above rules you should mention the class of shares.
