Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a query about receiving an SFT transaction notice from the Income Tax Department concerning credit card usage by another person. The advice provided is to respond via the Income Tax compliance portal, acknowledging the transaction. It's clarified that even if someone else used the card with permission, the primary cardholder is responsible. The user can explain the situation, especially if the case is selected for scrutiny, where they would be liable but could present their explanation to the Assessing Officer.

You need to answer the same on compliance portal of income tax. If it's done on your name but by another person with permission then that make no difference than use of card by you
Other person used the card in the return they will give me cash I will deposit the cash then make payment
You can explain this things if your case is selected for scrutiny. currently you should agree to the transaction on compliance portal while keeping in mind other related matters
If scrutiny is happened who will be taxable me or not
You but we can explain AO about the matter
