Service tax - urgent
Dear Sir
I have a client who have not filled service tax return since F.Y 2005-06 till today , they argued that as govt raised limit for service tax upto 8 lakh and they want to surrender service tax Number to dept. pleaes advice me for E-Filling for service tax return and for surrender of Service tax numner to dept . Urgent

Any person having a service tax registration number has to file the half yearly returns compulsorily
If he has not filed the returns first obtain the username & password from the service tax department and file the pending returns first.
Then go for the option of surrendering the license.
