Service tax set off

Hi,

Can we take set off service tax agaisnt service tax (like in VAT ).

yes , set off is allowed.

YES,  if u r a output service provider and receving services for providing output services.

Abso;utely you can claim setoff provided there has to be a nexus between Input Service( in respect of which of you are claiming credit) & Output Service
