All the service tax payments and returns has been submitted before the due dates for the yr 2011-2012 ( Financial yr) , here i have received a notice from the service tax department for a manual scrutiny for the above said period.
Please advice what are the things to be done, in detail before going for scrutiny.
An assessee running a air conditioned bar has received a notice calling records for scrutiny for the financial year 2008-09 to 2013-14. In this case they have even asked for records for the period which was not liable to service tax. Please guide as to whether the action of officials is correct ? What are the cocuments they may call for ? What is the time limit ? What sort of enquiries can be made ? Thanks
