Service tax return

Dear Sir, I have made service tax payment on 12/3/16 but forgot to file return in last quarter. Can i file it now?? If yes what would be the interest and penalty amount to paid? i have paid Rs.45,000

Up to 15 Days Rs 500

16 to 30 Days Rs 1,000

More than 30 Days Rs 1,000/+ Rs 100 for each day of further delay

Yes you can file Service tax Return, and if return is filed on 07/06/2016 , then penalty in the form of late fees will be charged of Rs.2,300 as per Sec.70(1) and rule 7C , you will also be charged for interest @ 18% and if turnover is less than 60 lakh in that case interest will be charged at concession rate of 15%....for calculation of interest liability , your constitution details are required

But Sir, I have made payment on time i.e on 12/3/16. so I wil be liable only for penalty???
