I FILED MY SERVICE TAX RETURN AND AFTER PROCESSING WHEN I VIEWED MY RETURN IT WAS SHOWING AN ERROR THAT MY CHALLAN NO. IS NOT MATCHING OR DOES NOT EXIST, ALTHOUGH I CHECKED THE STATUS OF MY CHALLAN & IT WAS OK AND RECHECKED THE CHALLAN NO. THAT I ENTERED IN THE RETURN & IT WAS ALSO CORRECT. SHOULD I REVISE MY RETURN?

check the challan status on cbec.nsdl.com if challan details are matchingthere no need to revose the return
Yes sir I checked the status on the site & it says challan is received by NSDL.
So is there any possibility that an order can come to me from the department regarding the mismatch?
Dear sir,
Its a common error message no need to worry.
If the return is filed (status) then its ok.
That utility is not suitable chaged according changing laws.
