I Would like to know that if there is no service tax liablity is it complusory to file a Nil Service Tax Return ??

Yes , as per law it is necessary to file the ST return even if there is no taxable turnover during the relevant period,
If you donot file, there will be penalty for non filing,though it could be waived later by the Assessing officer.To be on very safe side, it is advisable to file a nil return.
