Hi,
We contacted a CA for service tax registration requirement in the first week of May. For past over 2 weeks, he is saying that CBEC systems are down hence registrations are pending. As per him, this is a nationwide problem for past over 2 weeks. I am clueless whether I'm being taken for a ride... Could anyone pl let me know if such problem exists?

Sometimes the CBEC servers are indeed down. However, presently the server seems to be functioning. You can send complaints at "aces.servicedesk @ icegate.gov.in"
Even we had the same problem. Last full week we received message that server is down.
ITS NOT ALL THE TIME AND WHOLE WEEK.
ONLY SOMETIMES. PLEASE KEEP CHECK. LAST WEEK WE HAVE DONE 3 REGISTRATIONS WITH THE WEBSITE. FOR SERVICE TAX REGISTRATION YOU MAY VISIT WWW.ACES.GOV.IN DIRECTLY.
ITS VERY EASY TO FINISH THE JOB.
