Hi!
If SHEC @ 1% is applicable from 1st April 2007 then why Service tax rate of 12.36% is applicable from 11th May 2007, why not from 1st April onwards?

As Per the Finance Act'2007, 1% SHE Cess on Excise & CVD Duty is applicable from 01-04-2007 but upon the Service-Tax Duty, SHE Cess is applicable from 11-05-2007 @ 1 %.
