& IN CASE U DON'T HAVE THE HARD COPY
Kindly log into Service Tax (Aces) and view ST2 - in the Tool Bar ( you might have to put some date say 1.4.2000 to 30.11.2011for the period ) - In the ST2 the Premises Code is mentioned

Thanks for reply
But problem is that for online filing of return, there should be 10 digit alphanumeric premises code.
I got 6 digit premises code in my ST2 , similar as shown in your records.
How to get my 10 digit alphanumeric premises code for online filing of return

Hai Manish,
After Log into ACES under REG tab click on view Registration history than click on the last ST version numbder. Then in opened ST1 form you may find Premises code. However, in our case, it is not alphanumeric code but it is 10 digit numer code.

.
IN FILING RETURN PREMISES CODE IS SELF GENERATED. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BOTHER FOR IT.
HOW YOU CAME TO CONCLUTION PREMISES CODE WILL BE OF 10 DIGIT IS CONFUSING.
MR VASU S IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT

Dear Dhinesh,
If you have only one place of Business your Premises Code could be 300403A001.
Actually the First four Digits of Premises Code represents the Division. In your Case Kumbakonam Comes Under Thanjavur Division the Code for which is 3004.
Next two digits of Premises Code Represents the Range. Code for Kumbakonam Range is 03.
Last Four digits of the premises code represents your office location. Normally it start from A001. So your Premises Code could be 300403A001.
But the above code is self generated when you use Fill ST - 3 option on www.aces.gov.in >login >RET >Fill ST3 >Fill.
I totally Agree with Mr. DS Chauhan.
Mr. Manish it seems that you have only registered yourself with ACES not with Department. If you are able to see only Fill ST - 1 option it means that either you have not submitted ST - 1 or ST - 2 is pending with the department.

See Manish where you are already registered with the department and at the time of registration you have provided your email ID to the department, the TPIN & password would be sent to your registered ID. In case you have not received the same, you just need to file a declaration in the prescribed form (this Declaration is normally available on Commissionerate website) giving details of the Assessee, STR Code, email ID, Constituition of the Firm, etc.
Assessee who is already registered with the Department need not submit ST - 1 again. On following the above mentioned procedure, Assessee's detail are automatically transferred from the Database maintained by the Department to ACES.
In case of any problem you may contact ACES Service Desk on 1800 425 4251. They will assist you further.
