From 1/10/2014 service tax payment has to be made online electronically. for all cases. The due date for payment is 6th October 2014. Since 5th October 2014 and 6th October 2014 are public holidays, and banks are closed, whether the payment can be made on 7th October 2014. As per circulars available on Service tax site, the next working day can be considered for payment, if due date is a public holiday. Please clarify

I was also waiting for the same......
The payment is to be made mandatorily making use of Internet banking electronically from 01.10.2014.
So clossure of banks on 06.10.2014 shall not have any impact on due date.You can make payment from your office/home using net banking without visiting any branch.I would advice to pay on or before 6th to avoid any interest consequences.
