I have received a notice with regard to payment of Service Tax for the year 2014-15.
Untill how many years can the GST department ask for the records of Income Tax? Can it ask for records of 2014-15 also?

Dear Aishwarya Kataria,
ST department can issue notice to verify for the period not more than 30 months from the date of notice. They can go beyond 30 months until 5 years only if they they have the grounds of fraud and willful misstatement or suppression of facts.
Section 73 deals with this.
