Service tax or vat or both???

Hi All,

 

A Pvt. Ltd. in Gurgaon is engaged in business of providing computers on rent or lease to other companies.  Whether Service Tax be applicable or VAT or both will be applicable??  Kindly provide any reference to any act/notification etc.

Dear Anand,

Whenever computers are fully under control of your client, then VAT will attract (you are transfering right to use of goods) otherwise Service Tax will attract.
