Service tax on works contract service

Hi, I have a proprietorship construction firm working from past few years and got registration for service tax on Dec 2012 which was actually applicable from 01/07/2012. So, I want to know whether I have to pay Service Tax for july-dec period and if yes then whether this can be charged to service receiver or I have to pay from my pocket.

You have to pay Service Tax from July onwards.

This amount, if possible and if mentioned in the agreement can be received to service receiver or else since it is your responsibility to collect it and pay it to Govt, you have to pay from your pocket.
