Service tax on purchase of property
Hello!!!
I have 1 query regarding service tax applicability...
I had purchased a flat from builder the construction of which is completed just 2 months ago.
so did i also have to pay service tax because service tax is applicable for under construction property and the flat i purchased is not under construction.
please do ASAP..

If you have paid some advance earlier, then service tax has to be paid. Service tax is not payable where the entire consideration is paid by the buyer after issuance of completion-certificate by the competent authority.

so i will have to conffirm that wether the completion certificate has been isued or not,right?
Yes, you need to verify whether such certificate has been issued prior or later to payment of consideration.
