The mega notification exempted 'Temporary transfer' of copyrights in a cinematographic film from the purview of tax.
However, I am still unclear about the taxation on Permanent transfer of copyrights in a cinematographic film.
Would really appreciate some insight.
permanent transfer of copyright results into sale and there is no rendering of service hence service tax is not applicable however VAT/CST might be levied on such sale.
