my brother is doing Gold,silver & rhodium polish job work on all types of metal
cumtomers comes to him with ornament of all type of metal(like copper,bronze ete) for gold or silver plating work
so I want to know that servive tax is applicable or not on this type of job work

Job work which doesnt' amount to manufacture under Central Excise Act is taxable under the provisions of Service Tax. However, there is a small scale exemption of Rs 10 lakh for job workers and you can avail the same.
Yes service tax will be applicable subject to 10 lacs exemption....
